The Moimo application, website, and all associated content are proprietary and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of this content is prohibited without explicit written permission from Moimo.

Terms of Service

By downloading and using the Moimo application, you agree to these terms of service. Moimo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

You agree to use Moimo only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of Moimo. Prohibited behavior includes:

• Harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person
• Obscene or offensive language or content
• Disrupting normal flow of dialogue within Moimo
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems

Moimo reserves the right to terminate access to the application for users who violate these terms.

Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

Moimo collects only the information needed to provide the service:

• Account information — your name and email address.
• Timeline content — the events, dates, descriptions, tasks and timelines you create.
• Photos — images you choose to attach to an event. Moimo only accesses photos you select.
• Voice notes — audio you record and attach to an event, using your device’s microphone.
• Locations — places you choose to pin to an event. Moimo does not track your location in the background.
• Calendar events — if you use Calendar Import, the events from the calendars and date range you select.
• Usage and device information — basic analytics and technical details used to improve the app and provide support.

Access to your photos, microphone, location and calendars is only requested when you use a feature that needs it, and you can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Provide Moimo’s features, including syncing your timelines across your devices
• Power AI features such as the AI Overview and talking to your timeline
• Improve features and fix problems
• Send service-related communications
• Comply with legal obligations

AI Features

Moimo’s AI features are powered by Google Gemini. When you use them, the relevant parts of your timeline (such as event titles, dates, descriptions and your requests) are sent to Google to generate a response. Google does not use this content to train or improve its models. Google may keep it for a limited time solely to detect and prevent abuse. Photos and voice notes are only sent if a feature needs them to answer your request.

Shared Timelines

Timelines are private by default. If you invite people to a timeline, everyone you invite can view and edit it, including any photos, voice notes and locations attached to its events. Shared timelines are never public.

• The timeline owner decides who is invited and can remove people or stop sharing at any time.
• Removing someone stops their future access, but cannot undo anything they have already seen, copied or saved.
• Content you add to a shared timeline is visible to its members for as long as it remains in that timeline.
• Only invite people you trust, and only add content you are comfortable sharing with them.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account and timeline data, including attachments, are stored using Google Firebase, a cloud service provided by Google. Data may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country.

Data Protection

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, along with access controls, to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

Service Providers and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers that help us run Moimo — Google Firebase (storage, accounts and infrastructure) and Google Gemini (AI features) — who process it on our behalf
• People you invite to a shared timeline
• Authorities, when required by law

Your Choices and Rights

You can view, edit and delete your timeline content in the app at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by contacting support@moimo.app.

Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the app’s settings or by contacting support. When you delete your account, your personal data and the timelines you own are permanently deleted. Content you added to someone else’s shared timeline may be removed or remain part of that timeline, as described in the app. Backups are cleared within a limited period.

Children's Privacy

Moimo is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information immediately.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the application.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Moimo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Moimo makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
• The fitness of Moimo for a particular purpose
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Freedom from viruses or other harmful components

Your use of Moimo is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moimo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the application, even if Moimo has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Moimo to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
• Engage in harassment, discrimination, or hate speech
• Collect or track personal information of others without consent

Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

Third-Party Services

Moimo may integrate with third-party services for enhanced functionality. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services. Please review their privacy policies independently.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Australia.
